We caught up with Studio 37 Director, Gary Bickerton, to get his perspective on working with Safari Group and how architecture can influence the success of a development.

Battling through 2x level 3 lockdowns the team are still going strong, with the finish line in near site. Building C and B have the roofs on and are painting up to levels 5 now. Façade 100% complete and fit out progressing at about 90%. Building C Hotel furniture will arrive on site in March. Building A now has its roof on, façade about 90%, with fit out progressing well onto the top penthouse floor. Podium level is completed with the conference centre roof on and almost closed in. On target for a May 2021 completion with settlements in June 2021. This Development has a Transitional Exemption Certificate (Overseas Buyers can purchase our residential units and live there!)

Wellington on track for April
Well inside the final 2 months of the project now with fit out works being undertaken on residential levels and Ground floor shortly to be poured allowing the final floor fit out and final works to be completed ready for April completion. Hotel 2nd fix is being completed throughout March ready for FF&E install to take place at month’s end. Last Superdecks are being removed and final façade installation long with the canopy will allow the building to take it’s final full shape. Progress has been efficient and effective and looking forward to offering another impressive Safari product to the market.
