The development is flying high above the motorway now – The Newmarket team are absolutely steaming through the construction of each building. Building C floors are all poured and roof structure is up. Façade is going up very quickly – up to Level 4 now. Internal partitions are well advanced up to level 4, plasterboard up to level 3. Waiheke Safari Retreat
Rather than focus on an individual this month we thought we’d share info from our yearly Safari retreat. Past retreats included Sydney, Melbourne and Sea Cruises, but with COVID in full swing we thought we’d take the opportunity to keep it local. With our projects situated all over New Zealand, its not always easy to bring the team together on a regular basis, which is why these retreats are so beneficial. It gives team members an opportunity to socialize, meet partners and family members, and most importantly – relax.
We flew everyone to Auckland and caught the morning ferry to Waiheke Island. From there we were met by our Wine and Food tour guides from Ananda Tours. They were amazing in showing us everything Waiheke had to offer! Starting at the Mudbrick Vineyard for an amazing breakfast, we were then shown the sights and facts of Waiheke before visiting award winning Olive Oil makers – Rangihoua Estate. After sampling some amazing olive oil and artisan breads we were ready to sample some wine! The host at Goldie Estate gave us some great insights into what we were tasting, and a background into the Estate’s affiliation with the University of Auckland.
We finished the day unwinding at Wild at Waiheke with dinner and more drink tasting, before everyone was truly exhausted from a great day! Stay tuned to the newsletter for more Safari Family events. Everyone here is excited for our christmas event as well as next years Safari Retreat!
